We are thrilled to announce our second annual Korean American Day, scheduled for Sunday, January 12, 2025, from 2 to 5 PM at IBEW Local 159 in Madison (5303 Fen Oak Drive). Following the success of our inaugural event, which attracted 170 attendees and raised $2,811.13 for the Madison Public School Foundation that went towards AAPI Educational Programing for Madison Schools K-12 and Lake View Elementary for their Hmong Immersion School from donations. 

This year’s celebration will feature the Korean Gagok Ensemble, contemporary dance, taekwondo demonstrations, and energetic sangmo pangut performances. Pangut is a comprehensive performance with a drumming ensemble, dancing, and a unique spinning ribboned hat by the Korean Performing Arts Institute of Chicago. Bring your family and friends to enjoy delicious food and kid-friendly activities for a day immersed in rich cultural experiences.

Korean American Day is a cherished opportunity to reflect on our shared history, celebrate cultural diversity, and unite our community. The event is free to attend; donations are suggested.
